Already exhausted from thinking of ways to entertain the kids just a couple of weeks into the summer holidays?

Well fear not, as we have found some great events and activities taking place throughout August, all of which are sure to bring out the big kid in you too!

Bristol’s International Balloon Fiesta
Bristol International Balloon Fiesta

When: 10 to 13 August
Where: Ashton Court, Bristol

Over 150 Hot Air Balloons from across the globe will be attending the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta, Europe’s largest annual meeting. The event is held over 4 days and the best bit about it, it is completely free to attend, with a small price to pay for parking on site.
As well as the balloons they’ll be trade stands, fairground rides and loads of other great entertainment.

Portsmouth Kite Festival

When: 12 to 13 August
Where: Southsea Common, Portsmouth

Celebrating it’s 26th year, the Portsmouth International Kite Festival is now recognised as one of the best Kite Festivals in the world, with over 100 kite fliers invited from across 4 continents!
As well as the kite flying there will be lots of other entertainment including a free kiddies kite workshop.

When: 31 August to 3 September
Where: Bournemouth Beach

Voted best Tourism Event by VisitEngland and celebrating it’s 10th year, the Bournemouth Air Festival is the UK’s biggest, best and free aviation festival, with 4 days of action and entertainment in the air, on land, and at sea!
Be wowed by the RAF Red Arrows, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, the Blades, The Tigers Freefall Parachute Display Team, Otto the Helicopter, and loads more!
