If you’re heading down to the south east for your holidays, or just stopping over before your channel crossing to France, then the county of Kent offers many wonderful sites and attractions, not to mention some great campsites.

Broadhembury Holiday Park, Ashford, TN26 1NQ

www.broadhembury.co.uk
This site is well placed centrally for the majority of Kent’s attractions. It is very near to the Channel Tunnel, making it an ideal spot before you travel to Europe. And 9 minutes from the M20 so easy to get to but far away enough for the peace and quiet of the countryside.  The site has a family field as well as an adult’s only one, take your choice. There are very modern facilities, showers baby rooms disabled facilities and a laundry room with extra drying, useful for anyone involved in the numerous outdoor pursuits available in and around Broadbury.

Bearsted Caravan & Motorhome Club Site, Maidstone, ME17 1XH

www.caravanclub.co.uk
Conveniently placed a mile from junction 8 of the M20 this Caravan & Motorhome Club site is very close to the town of Maidstone and close to Leeds Castle which is a highly recommended visit.  The passing road is on the main bus routes making the excellent shopping centre in Maidstone easily accessible.  The site itself is well run and spotlessly clean, with a children’s play park and a dog run.  There is a local golf course nearby and fishing lakes about a mile away.

Canterbury Camping and Caravanning Club Site, Canterbury CT3 4AB

www.campingandcaravanningclub.co.uk
This site is an ideal base for exploring Canterbury – only a mile from the city centre and the bus picks you up from outside the entrance, however still in a rural area.  There are 200 pitches that are segregated from each other so it doesn’t feel like a large site.  Immaculate facilities, children’s play park and dedicated dog walk.  A good base if you wish to visit Dover Castle, Herne Bay and try the seafood at Whitstable.

Nethercourt Touring Park, Ramsgate CT11 0RX

www.caravanclub.co.uk
Quiet, friendly site only a walk to the town centre, railway station and the beach.  It is set in walled grounds previously occupied by a mansion house.  The facilities include a games room with pool table and everything on site is well maintained. There are plenty of beaches and bays in this area many have received the high award of a blue flag.  The bus stop outside the camp gates goes between Ramsgate and Canterbury and it is a superb location for your bikes with the coastal Viking trail nearby.

Manor Court Farm, Tunbridge Wells TN3 9TB

www.manorcourtfarm.co.uk
Manor Court Farm Camping site is set near to the farmhouse in an informal style.  It is in amongst the old brick and tiled farm buildings next to the pond with views to Ashdown Forest.  The farm is next to the village of Ashurst which dates back to medieval times.  The railway line that stops at the local station runs from Uckfield to London Bridge, so a good base to visit from.  There are 3 pubs within walking distance and the site is ideally located for those wanting a relaxing holiday, as well as a good base for the south of England.  Hever Castle, Penshurst Place and Winston Churchill’s home Chartwell are all local to this area. Pooh Corner and Hundred Acre Wood is 5 miles away.

Thriftwood Holiday Park, Stansted, Sevenoaks TN15 7PB
