Here’s the LandCruise Motorhome Hire guide to campsites in the New Forest.

Camping in the Forest

www.campingintheforest.co.uk
Wild camping in the New Forest is not permitted, but if you would like to park right in the heart of the forest with the ponies and other animals milling around you, you can’t do much better than the Camping in the Forest sites. There are 10 sites to choose from. Our favourites are Hollands Wood – a stroll away from the picturesque village of Brockenhurst – and Setthorns – a peaceful secluded site close to Sway.
LandCruise customers can get £3.50 discount off a pitch a night as part of the Camping and Caravanning Club Privilege Membership. As they have so many sites, Camping in the Forest are a good place to try if you are looking for a last minute booking.

Black Knowl Caravan & Motorhome Club Site, Brockenhurst, SO42 7QD

www.caravanclub.co.uk
All of the camp sites clustered around the village of Brockenhurst are great, but this one has spotless facilities that one expects from the Caravan Club. It is five minutes walk to the village shops, pubs and restaurants. You can also walk out of your Motorhome and explore 140 miles of track on foot, cycle or on horseback in the New Forest whilst never tiring of seeing the ponies and other animals. If you like things a little quieter, it is worthwhile seeing if you can get in the Caravan Club Certificated Location site at Ford Farm Stables.

www.redshoot-campingpark.com
Located in the heart of the New Forest, just 5 miles from the picturesque market town of Ringwood, the Red Shoot Camping Park is a popular campsite for both families and couples and is often visited by LandCruise customers. Its popularity is down to the first class on site facilities – clean showers and toilets, a shop selling local produce, newspapers, wines and beers, a children’s play area, and a traditional country pub – the Red Shoot Inn. Their next beer festival will be on the 2nd – 3rd October 2015. Open March to October
