Romantic Motorhome Getaways

Posted on: Thursday 23rd of January 2020

With Valentine’s Day fast approaching you may still be trying to think of the best way to spend some quality time with your loved one.

If the idea of giving chocolates or flowers seems a little cliched, or panic-stricken last minute efforts have become a little tired, why not try something a bit different this year?

How about looking up at the stars, next to a roaring fire, bit of De Burgh on the radio, bottle of fizz on the go, surrounded by nothing but nature? Sound good?

Then a romantic motorhome getaway could be just for you…

Sure, you could get a hotel room for the night, with their strict check-in and check-out times, and noisy hotel guests to contend with, all in a bid to “get away” from it all for a night.

Or you could really “get away” from it all and go wherever the mood takes you. Gaze up at the stars, sit on your own deserted beach or even wake up to views like this…

If you like the idea of going away on your own little romantic adventure, here are a handful of great sites to visit. Just don’t forget to take the bubbly!

Sites to sleep under the stars

Carvynick Holiday Park, Cornwall

Fforest Fields Caravan and Camping Park, Powys

Red Squirrel Campsite, Glencoe, Scotland

Other incredible ‘Dark Sky’ Locations, UK

Sites on the beach

Highlands End Holiday Park, Bridport, Dorset

Ruda Holiday Park, Croyde Bay, North Devon

Three Cliffs Bay, Swansea, Wales

Ayr Holiday Park, St Ives, Cornwall

Or if you’re looking to visit some sites and attractions how about a romantic city break?

Remember, a lot of campsites don’t open for the 2020 season until March/April so double-check that where you want to go is open all year round.
