There are two ways to enjoy a motorhome holiday – just go wherever the road takes you or to plan all of your stopovers and activities in advance. The following resources will help you to plan ahead:
There a number of online directories available to help you book your campsite. In our opinion, the best web site to look for places to stay is ukcampsite.co.uk. They include:
• Reviews on every campsite in the UK and France
• Search by town or county
• A list of sites open all year round
Another great resource worth a mention is Searchforsites.co.uk. They feature parking, pub and other stopovers, a route planner as well as campsites across the UK & Europe. They also have a great mobile app, so whilst you’re away you will have wealth of information available at your finger tips.
When you hire a motorhome from LandCruise you have the added benefit of Privilege Membership of the Camping and Caravanning Club which entitles you to member’s prices on all UK Club Sites and Camping in the Forest Sites.
In terms of discount this means you can save up to 30% on UK Club Sites and up to 15% on Camping in The Forest Sites.
To take advantage of these discounts, ask us for a one-off promotional code that you can then enter when going through the Camping & Caravaning Club online booking system.
The code can also be quoted when booking via their Service Centre on, 024 7647 5426. Just let them know you are hiring a motorhome from LandCruise.
An alternative to booking/visiting campsites is to stay in motorhome stopovers.
Brit Stops is a network of free motorhome stopovers all over Britain. They take the form of farm shops, country pubs, vineyards, and many more interesting sites where motorhome tourists can rest, stop over and travel on the next morning having enjoyed some local produce.
To take advantage of the scheme, you’ll need to buy the Brit Stops Guide book, which shows you where all the stops are located, and doubles up as your membership card.
Caramaps is a one stop shop for all your motorhome holiday planning needs. Search thousands of campsites, plan your route, what you’re going to see, where you’re going to refuel, it’s got the lot.
Download the app and you’ve got yourself the Swiss Army knife of motorhome holiday planning.
