Motorhome Hire UK
Under UK law motorhomes are classed as private vehicles meaning that they are subject to the same rules and laws as any other car on the road.
All passengers travelling in a motorhome must be wearing seat-belts.
As in a car, any child travelling must be in the correct car seat for their height or weight until they reach 1.35 metres (4’4”) or their 12th birthday, whichever comes first.
If you have your own child seats, feel free to bring them along, but what you will need to bear in mind is that only the 2024 Auto Roller 707s and 2024 Auto Roller 746s have the isofix fittings, so unless you have hired those models please make sure that any seat you bring can be attached using a standard 3-point belt. The new Swift Trekker also has one isofix fitting.
All of our motorhomes that have a dinette will have 2 forward facing 3-point seat-belts fitted, where you will be able to fit two child seats next to one another, if need be.
All seat-belts in our Swift, Roller Team and Auto Trail motorhomes are of the 3-point variety, and can have child seats attached.
Due to the cumbersome nature of some child seats it may be necessary to slide over and re-position the table in order to fit them in place. In some instances it may be easier to remove the table altogether.
Only the following motorhomes/campervans have isofix:
