The Joy of MotorhomingOut of Season

Definitely worthConsidering

As you may expect, most people choose to escape in a motorhome during the summer months when the sun is shining and the weather is warm. Whilst the upside of this is obvious there are some down sides; premium prices, overcrowding, campsites being fully booked.

Have you considered going away and motorhoming out of season? Stay with me and I’ll explain…

Snug as a bug

All of our motorhomes come complete with central heating, hot & cold running water (no hot water in our VW campervans), and are very well insulated.

So even after a long and tiring day you can arrive back at your warm and snug motorhome, have a lovely hot shower, dry off, make a brew (or a glass of wine!) and unwind.

No matter what the conditions you find yourself in, you’ll be able to keep dry and toasty warm throughout the day and night.

Off-peak rates

Our off-season goes from November through to February giving you the opportunity for some great winter bargains. 4 nights away in one of our smaller 2 berth motorhomes starts at just £350!

Not to mention the reduced rates of the campsite pitches!

Want to go away for a month or more? Contact the office to get prices on extended stays at greatly reduced rates.

Campsites open all year

You’ll find that many sites have extended their opening season, or even better, remain open all year round.

Some, but not all, even offer guest’s heated toilet and shower blocks, laundry rooms, mains electric hook ups and more than often have hard standing pitches, so you don’t have to worry about getting stuck in the mud!

Open all year

Visiting family and friends

The festive season – a time to eat, drink, be merry, and visit family! But not everyone has the space to accommodate all the kids/grandkids/dog, and they’re not always conveniently located just down the road.

So why not do the festive rounds in a motorhome? Hook up to their mains, and you can stop over the night without having to impose. It also negates the need to designate one unfortunate soul to go without their festive tipple in order to taxi everyone back!

Walking holidays

There’s much to enjoy from a walking holiday in the UK, whatever the time of year, but the scenery in winter brings with it a certain magic and majesty unlike any other.

Bright and crisp mornings are perfect for walking, and there’s not a lot better after a long walk than to relax with a drink and some warm food in a nearby cosy pub.

We’re fortunate in this country to have such an abundance of varying and dramatic landscapes, from Norfolk to the New Forest, and the South Downs to Snowdonia.

As well as being in such beautiful surroundings, many of the campsites in these locations are ideal bases from which to start your treks.
